Expertise concerning the estimation of the therapeutical effect of the medicament Own Blood Cytokines in tumor medicine

To clarify the effect a retrospective sample examination was made on 483 patients with different

malignant tumors (52% metastasized breast carcinomas, lung and colon resp. rectum carcinomas as well as 17.9% malignant tumors of male and female urogenital tracts and 4.3% pancreas carcinomas), who had been treated between January 1996 and June 1997. All of these 483 examined patients previously were treated with chemo- and/or radiotherapy, without any effect on the tumor-growth.

Result:

224 of these patients were completers, that are 46.4%.

Completers are those patients, who-because of the ineffectivity of conventional tumor treatment-had undergone therapy with Own Blood Cylokines supplementary or solely, had already completed one series of treatment and were at least under the second one.

259 patients were drop-outs, that are 53.6%.

Drop-outs are those patients, who prematurely stopped or interrupted the therapy out of different reasons or those, who came to the practice, but never started the treatment.

39 completers died, that are 18% of the completers. 81 completers showed tumor growth, that are 37% of the completers, 75 completers showed a stable disease, that are 34% of the completers. 20 completers showed a reduction of tumor mass, that are 9% of the completers, 4 completers showed a total remission, that are 2% of the completers. Nevertheless, a part of the patients was at the same time under hormon-

therapy. The palliative therapy with cytostatics resp. radiation usually did not take place under the therapy with Own Blood Cytokines.

According to this examination a stable phase, a reduction of tumor mass or a total tumor regression could be achieved for almost every second patient (45% of the completers) who was under the second series of therapy till June 1997. It can be presumed, that the positive effect bases- beside the used school medicine methods-especially on the treatment with Own Blood Cytokines. This is, furthermore, proved by 35 detailed and documented cases. A positive supplementary effect of Own Blood Cytokines in the treatment of tumors is very likely, the solely tumor-reducing effect can, therefore, not be excluded.

Therefore, the first objective proofs on the general effect of this medicament are given.
